A typical
poultry ration is made up of several grain sources; each of
which may be contaminated with a different mycotoxin or more
than one mycotoxin. When more than one mycotoxin is present
in a diet, the effects can either be additive, synergistic,
or antagonistic.
A
number of approaches have been evaluated to deal with mycotoxin
contaminated poultry feeds. For binding of these toxins there
is need of broad spectrum of toxin binder, Which would also
impart some nutritive value along with the binding effect
on toxins.
We are pleased to launch HBC- BIO, a broad-spectrum toxin
binder with a nutritive value to counter the toxicity problem
in feed.
HBC-BIO contains
a) HSCAS & Na-Bentonite
HSCAS & Bentonites
can adsorb & retains 95% aflatoxins. They are made of
two or more mineral-oxide layers, which are parallely stacked
units of Silica & Aluminum sheets. Cations present on
clay are exchangeable. HSCAS & Na-Bentonite (negative
charge) has high CEC (high exchange capacity) to bind aflatoxins
molecule (positive charge).
HBC- BIO Contains all the silicates in perfect combination
.All the silicates are subjected to a special heat treatment
during manufacturing process which enhances its ionic properties
to ensure increased & strong electromagnetic charges &
irreversible binding with toxins. Strong & irreversible
bond ensures complete adsorption of toxins in the feed. The
irreversible bond is very strong & will not get disintegrated
in the aqueous environment of gut. As a result the complex
formed between HSCAS & Toxin gets excreted out of gastrointestinal
tract. The thermodynamically treated HSCAS has selective &
High Cationic exchange activity.
ORGANIC
ACIDS -
Organic
acids are lipid soluble so that they are able to enter the
microbial cell. Once in the cell, the acid releases the proton
in the more alkaline environment, resulting in a decrease
of intracellular pH. This influences microbial metabolism
inhibiting the action of important microbial enzymes and forces
the bacterial cell to use energy to release protons, leading
to an intracellular accumulation of acid anions. Organic acids
exert their antimicrobial action both in the feed and in the
GI-tract of bird. For better binding of aflatoxins with HSCAS
the organic acids provide acidic medium.
Organic
acids increases palatability of feed, thereby better consumption
of feed. Better-feed consumption enhances better production.
Activated
charcoal –
It
is universal toxin binder effectively adsorbs Ochratoxins,
T2 toxin & other mycotoxins.
It
acts through:
Adsorption
Mechanical filtration
Ion exchange
Surface oxidation
HBC-BIO
contains activated charcoal, which is obtained by burning
coconut kernels. It is subjected to a special heat treatment
during the process of manufacture. Charcoal obtained from
coconut kernel is the best source of charcoal, which ensures
additional adsorption property.
MOS
-
MOS
is derived from the outer yeast cell wall of Saccharomyces
cerevisiae. MOS has numerous different & easy accessible
adsorption centers. One gram of MOS can bind 2.7 mg Zearalenone
and other toxins. MOS also eliminates bacterial toxins by
blocking colonization of pathogens. It eliminates harmful
bacteria’s ( salmonella, e.coli etc.) from digestive
tract
Bacillus
Subtilis -
Bacillus
Subtilis binds aflatoxin-producing fungi. It produces small
cyclic polypeptides, which have activity against bacteria
& Aspergilus genus fungi. It produces quality amylase
thereby it adds the nutritive value to HBC-bio.
Bacillius
Subtilius is a microorganism which synthesizes Anti-fungal
peptides, which binds toxins produced by Aspergillus genus.
The
cell wall components of ingested Bacillus Subtilis are able
to activate nearly all systems of the immune defense, including
the activation of at least three specific antibodies (IgM,
IgG and IgA secretion), which inhibits growth of E.coli, Salmonella
etc.
